Boone Pickens Stadium roared with cheers and applause Saturday night as OSU alums Garth Brooks, Barry Sanders and Robin Ventura were inducted into the OSU Alumni Hall of Fame.

The famous trio served as the Grand Marshals for Homecoming 2009: ‘Branded For Life’ and led both the Sea of Orange Parade and “The Walk” on Saturday.

The Cowboy Marching Band saluted the three inductees during the halftime of the Missouri vs. OSU football game, performing the NFL theme, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” and “Friends in Low Places” while spelling out “Barry,” “Garth” and “Robin” on the turf.

“The Hall of Fame award recognizes outstanding lifetime achievement in society and professional life and few have reached the heights Garth, Barry and Robin have reached,” said OSU President Burns Hargis. “They have entertained and thrilled millions around the world, as well as served their communities. They have made their fellow Cowboys proud.”
