Vintage O-State Registration Open
The OKC Metro Chapter's 2012 Vintage O-State Wine Tasting and Scholarship Fundraiser is set for Saturday, August 4, at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Online registration for tickets and sponsorships to the exciting event is now open. Tickets are $65 for members, $75 for nonmembers and $35 for 2006-2011 graduates.


OSU Night with the Texas Stars
OSU alumni and friends are invited to join the Austin OSU Alumni Chapter for OSU Night with the Texas Stars on Friday, March 16. The Stars will be hosting the Oklahoma City Barons at 7:30 p.m. Executive seating is available in the OSU Alumni section for only $12, as well as half price pre-paid parking for $5. Don't miss out on 3-2-1 Night: $3 domestic drafts/$2 sodas/$1 hot dogs!

New Scholarships Available to OSU Students
The Alumni Association would like to let parents know about three new scholarships still open to current students at OSU. The $1,500 iModules scholarship through the Alumni Association's website provider is open to all classifications of students. The $5,000 Daily O'Collegian scholarship is only open to incoming freshmen pursuing a journalism degree and the Remember the Ten scholarship is only open to masters and doctoral students enrolled in one of the following degree specialties: clinical psychology, counseling psychology, community counseling, and marriage and family therapy.


OSU Alumni Hall of Fame Honors Three Oklahoma Treasures
The OSU Alumni Association inducted Ray Booker, Malinda Berry Fischer and Benjamin Harjo Jr. into the OSU Alumni Hall of Fame on Friday, February 17, at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center. Induction into the OSU Alumni Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed by the OSU Alumni Association. It recognizes alumni and former students with outstanding lifetime achievements in society and professional life.


Majors Finalized for Grandparent University 2012
Grandparent University 2012 will feature 18 majors over two sessions in June, including new majors in forensics, landscaping, journaling and videography. Session one is June 6-8 and session two is June 20-22. Enrollment for Grandparent University 2012 will open at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 2. Cowboy Football 2012 Schedule Released
Seven home games, including visits from Big 12 newcomers West Virginia and TCU, highlight the 2012 Oklahoma State University football schedule. The Cowboys open the season Sept. 1 when the defending Big 12 champions face Savannah State in the initial meeting between the schools. Homecoming in 2012 will take place on Oct. 20 with Iowa State in town to face the Cowboys.


North Texas Chapter - OSU Day at the Ft. Worth Zoo
Join your fellow OSU alumni from across North Texas on March 25 for a day at one of the most popular attractions in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Registration is now open for OSU Day at the Fort Worth Zoo - ranked as the fifth-best zoo in the country. Come enjoy all it has to offer along with an OSU alumni lunch with the distinctly local flavor of Dickey's Barbecue and pictures with America's Greatest Mascot - Pistol Pete!


OSU Wind Ensemble Plays Meyerson Symphony Center
Come support the OSU Wind Ensemble, conducted by OSU professor Joseph Missal, as they perform Fanfare: Arrival in the lobby of the Meyerson Symphony Center prior to the concert of the Dallas Wind Symphony Tuesday, March 13th at 7:45 p.m. Special discounted tickets are available to OSU guests.


Remember the Ten Run Announces Scholarship Program
Since 2007, the benefactor of the Remember the Ten Run has been OSU Counseling Services. The Run has provided a total of $100,000 to support their endeavors in the areas of grief counseling. This year the Run’s steering committee is excited to announce an additional benefactor with the creation of the Remember The Ten Run Scholarship Program.


Official OSU Class Ring Spring Sales
The OSU Alumni Association is closing out the spring showcase of the Official OSU Class Ring Feb. 21-23 on the OSU-Stillwater campus. The ring is available to alumni and current students with 60 or more credit hours. It was designed by a group of OSU students, alumni and administrators and is the only official ring recognized by the University.


O'Colly Book Chronicles Cowboys' Ride to Victory
The Daily O'Collegian at OSU invites you to celebrate the Cowboys' magical season with "Ride to Victory: The Journey of the 2011 Oklahoma State Cowboys." Comprised of full-color photos, on-the-sidelines anecdotes, predictions, scorecards, player profiles, and personal columns, the book is a tangible memento and game-by-game chronicle of an incredible year, up to and including our first-ever BCS berth and win in the Fiesta Bowl.


Houston Brighter Orange Gala Helping Stories Begin
The 2012 Houston Brighter Orange Gala is set for April 14 at The WestLake Club. Join the chapter and speaker Larry Reece for a celebration of orange with heavy appetizers, dessert and drinks along with an auction to raise scholarship money for Houston-area students. Tickets are now available and donations are being accepted for the auction.


Discounted Tickets for Winter Sports
The OSU Alumni Association and the OSU Athletics Department are offering discounted $5 tickets to the February 25 Cowgirl Basketball game against Iowa State. Members may purchase discounted tickets online by logging in to their active account. Nonmembers may join the Alumni Association to be eligible to purchase the discounted tickets.


North Texas Brighter Orange This Friday
This year's Brighter Orange of North Texas will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012, at Bent Tree Country Club. OSU Provost Robert J. Sternberg will be the chapter's special guest at the event and will provide a campus update and information on several new student success initiatives.


Life Membership Dues Increasing
The OSU Alumni Association is announcing the beginning of a one-year fire sale on life memberships before dues increase on July 1, 2012. Individual life memberships are increasing from $750 to $1,000 and joint life memberships are increasing from $1,000 to $1,500. Seniors 65 and older will continue to receive a $100 discount on life memberships.
