Alumni Recruiting Network

Purpose
The purpose of the Alumni Recruitment Network program of the OSU Alumni Association is to extend the reach of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions through the volunteer recruitment efforts of well-trained, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic alumni. The program will help to expand the University’s presence on a state and national level.

Roles
Alumni recruiters assist the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by representing Oklahoma State University at various recruitment events and activities, adopting local high schools and identifying and maintaining contact with prospective students from the community. The alumni recruiters stay informed of basic admissions information, participate in student recruitment programs and activities (mainly college fairs), and provide feedback to OSU regarding materials and activities.

Training
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Association provide training workshops (both on campus and off-site) as well as resource materials to alumni recruiters. Recruiters are expected to be familiar with materials provided, abide by ethical recruiting standards, give feedback to OSU, and to attend on-campus or regional update workshops as appropriate.
