Cotton Bowl Selects Oklahoma State vs. Missouri
Our Oklahoma State Cowboys are making their eighth-straight bowl appearance this year when they take on former Big 12 opponent Missouri in the 78th annual AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic. OSU finished the regular season 10-2 (7-2 Big 12) while the Tigers were 11-2 (7-1 SEC). Visit orangeconnection.org/bowl for complete details!
2014 Brighter Orange of North Texas
The Dallas Country Club is playing host to the ninth annual Brighter Orange of North Texas event to support North Texas-area students attending OSU. Join the North Texas OSU Alumni Chapter Friday, Feb. 21 for an evening of fun and fellowship combined with exciting silent and live auctions. Holiday Fudge Recipe from First Cowgirl Ann Hargis
With a south Texas background, First Cowgirl Ann Hargis says OSU's first family usually has some form of tamale and Mexican flare during their holiday season. Check out one of the Hargis family's favorite holiday recipes - Mexican Fudge, which can be served with or without jalapenos.
Houston Brighter Orange Gala
Join the Houston OSU Alumni Chapter for their annual Brighter Orange Gala Saturday, February 22 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Pine Forest Country Club. Guests can enjoy unique silent and live auction items, heavy hors de'ouvres and cocktails. This year's special guest is Lawrence Harris, a former OSU football player, Houston Oiler and current opera baritone in New York City. Event tickets are $100 each, and sponsorship opportunities are available. All proceeds will benefit incoming OSU freshmen scholarships. Register to attend online!
ROTC Alumni Chapter Plans Welcome Event, Ribbon Cutting
The OSU ROTC Alumni Chapter is hosting a Spring Semester Student Welcome event and New Alumni Lounge Ribbon Cutting on Wednesday, Jan. 15. Attendees can enjoy a burger burn as current ROTC students are welcomed back for the 2014 spring semester. The burger burn will begin at 16:30. All alumni of OSU ROTC programs are encouraged to attend and support our current students, faculty, and staff while visiting OSU's beautiful campus.
McCurtain County Networking Dinner
The McCurtain County OSU Alumni Chapter is hosting a networking dinner on Saturday, Jan. 25. A happy hour will take place at 6 p.m., and dinner will begin at 7 p.m. at Main Street Bakery and Cafe located at 14 SW Main Street. The special guest speaker will be three-star admiral, Idabel native and OSU alumnus Phil Balisle. The cost to attend is $50 per person. OSU Women's Night Out at Tipsy Artist
Mark your calendars and join your fellow Cowgirls of Central Oklahoma for an OSU Women's Night Out on Thursday, Jan. 23. Enjoy a fun evening of painting an OSU-themed design with Guthrie's very own Tipsy Artist, Tiffany Bora. The event will begin at 6 p.m. The Tipsy Artist Paint Palace is located at 124 W. Registration Open for Tulsa Vintage O-State: Loyal & True
The Tulsa Chapter's 14th annual Vintage O-State: Loyal & True fundraising event will take place Saturday, Feb. 1 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the Hard Rock Hotel in Tulsa. The chapter is currently seeking sponsors and auction items for the event, which will benefit Tulsa-area students attending OSU. Sponsorships and individual tickets are available for purchase online.
MGM Showcase in Las Vegas!
The Cowboy Basketball team is taking on former conference foe Colorado on Saturday, Dec. 21 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The game will be half of a doubleheader as the opening game will feature New Mexico vs. Marquette. International Tours is offering travel packages from both Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Redesigned OSU Car Tag Unveiled
OSU alumni and fans are known for their affinity for orange. Come January, they'll be able to show that orange pride on their Oklahoma car tags while also supporting OSU students. On Saturday, the OSU Alumni Association unveiled the winning design for the updated OSU car tag in Oklahoma, which will be produced by the Oklahoma Tax Commission. More than 5,900 OSU alumni and fans voted on the four designs, and the winning design captured 41 percent of the vote.
Alumni Association Selects Homecoming 2014 Executives
The OSU Alumni Association and the 2013 Homecoming Executive team have selected the team to lead the 2014 edition of "America's Greatest Homecoming Celebration." The ten students, along with their steering and big committees, will help organize a week's worth of events including the Harvest Carnival, Walkaround and the Sea of Orange Parade.
Football Schedule, Homecoming Date Set for 2014
The OSU Athletics Department released the 2014 Cowboy Football schedule Tuesday. View the complete schedule with details for each game at OKState.com. The OSU Alumni Association will present the next edition of "America's Greatest Homecoming Celebration" on Oct. 25, 2014 at the West Virginia game.
