Dr. Kevin Kikta
On May 22, 2011, an ER-5 tornado ripped through Joplin, Mo., killing 160 people. Dr. Kevin Kikta, a 1996 College of Osteopathic Medicine graduate, was one of two ER doctors on duty at St. John's Medical Center when the tornado hit, and subsequently wrote his :45 Seconds memoir about the tornado.
