The OSU Interfraternity Council passed a resolution Thursday raising IFC dues per member from $15 to $20, donating the $5 increase to the OSU Alumni Association’s Homecoming Endowment. With the increase in member dues, IFC will donate more than $11,000 each year to the Alumni Association’s Homecoming Endowment for 10 years - a potential impact of more than $110,000.
The OSU Black Alumni Society is honoring Julia T. Brown with its Trailblazer Award during the group's annual reunion weekend at Homecoming. A public reception will be held Friday, Oct. 25 inside the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center.
OSU mascot Pistol Pete is known for his larger-than-life cowboy hat and pistols firing. But for the two students each year who portray the character modeled after Frank Eaton, another part of Pete’s attire holds even more significance. On Sept. 6, OSU students Landon Stallings and Preston Whitlaw will receive their official Pistol Pete spurs from the Elsberrys, continuing a tradition that has gone relatively unnoticed until recently.

The OSU Alumni Association is honoring the six 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award recipients on Sept. 13 at a public reception and at the halftime of the UTSA vs. OSU football game. This year's award recipients are Debbie Adams of Houston, Texas, Griff Jones of Cypress, Texas, J. Doug Pruitt of Paradise Valley, Ariz., Cindy Ross of Wakita, Okla., James (Jim) Vallion of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Calvin Vogt of Tulsa, Okla.
The OSU Alumni Association is honored to announce T. Boone Pickens has been named the grand marshal of Homecoming 2014: 'The Experience.' Pickens graduated from Oklahoma A&M in 1951 with a degree in geology. He is the single largest benefactor to OSU having donated more than half a billion dollars to his alma mater.

Oklahoma State University's Class of 1964 is celebrating its 50-year reunion at Homecoming 2014: 'The Experience!' Registration is now open for class members. Events will include golf cart tours of campus, a reception at the OSU Foundation and individual receptions at each OSU college. The OSU Alumni Association and Grandparent University are proud to once again partner with Mud University in promoting physical activity among youth! Mud U is a fun, unique, and memorable muddy obstacle race for children and youth aged between 6 and 13. The concept of Mud U was derived from the adventure/obstacle events currently available to adults, but it has been specifically developed to provide kids with the same fun experience in a safe and age-appropriate manner. Up to 1,000 are expected to participate in their next event on September 27 and 28 at Lake McMurtry in Stillwater. The OSU American Indian Alumni Society is honoring Jeraldine "Jerry" Brown with its Distinguished Alumni Award on Saturday, Nov. 15. A public reception at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center will begin three hours before the kickoff of the Texas vs. OSU football game. Brown's teaching career span more than 40 years in addition to her endless obligation of service to her community and fellow citizens.
The annual North Texas Chapter Scholarship Golf Tournament will take place Friday, August 29.
