Legacies

The OSU Alumni Association's Legacy program is designed to educate future Cowboys and Cowgirls about Oklahoma State by providing age-specific gifts throughout their childhood. Our definition of a Legacy is any child between the ages of birth and 16 "lucky enough" to have one or even two parents or grandparents who are current members of Alumni Association.

Legacy Gifts

During different stages of childhood, registered Legacies will receive FREE gifts pictured below! Gifts will be mailed either to the address of the Alumni Association member or the Legacy's address if provided. In order for Legacies to receive each gift, the member must stay current on his or her Alumni Association dues. All Legacy gifts are age appropriate and therefore cannot be retroactive.

Update

If your Legacy is already registered, you can update his or her mailing address with the Alumni Association so Pistol Pete's gifts are sure to be delivered to the right place!

Grandparent UniversityThis unique, intergenerational learning experience is held twice every June. Each three-day session is a fun-filled experience actively engaging kids in academics at OSU while creating memories for grandparents and their grandchildren. Participants enjoy a true OSU experience staying in dorms, dining on campus, attending an OSU pep rally and graduating.
Legacy Weekend A special two days for OSU Legacies who are sophomores and juniors in high school and their parents to learn about OSU's rich traditions and history. The event is planned and presented by the Student Alumni Board and affords a chance for students to have their questions personally answered by SAB members.
Chapters EventsNumerous OSU Alumni Chapters hold their own Legacy events across the United States. These events include picnics, trips to a zoo or museum or an outing to see the Cowboys or Cowgirls play. To find a chapter near you, click here.
Camp Cowboy ScholarshipOSU Legacies who are graduates of Oklahoma high schools and enrolled at OSU have the opportunity to receive a full scholarship in the amount of $170 if they attend Camp Cowboy, the summer freshman transition program.
