Awards

The OSU Alumni Association recognizes outstanding students and alumni with four awards presented annually in the spring and fall. These honorees are recognized online, in STATE magazine and in exhibits at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center.

Distinguished Alumni

This award recognizes alumni who attain distinctive success in his or her chosen field or profession, perform outstanding service to their community or both. Service and contributions to the advancement of the university, the OSU Alumni Association or both may be considered. The awards are presented each fall.


Hall of Fame

Induction into the OSU Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed by the university. Given annually, it recognizes outstanding lifetime achievement in society and professional life. Honorees are inducted in a ceremony held in early spring.

Seniors of Significance

This award recognizes students who have excelled in scholarship, leadership and service to campus and community and have brought distinction to OSU. Seniors of Significance applications are available during the fall semester and awarded at the end of the fall semester at a formal reception. Seniors of Significance honorees are then eligible for the Outstanding Seniors Award.

Outstanding Seniors

This award recognizes seniors who excel through academic achievement; campus and community activities; academic, athletic or extra-curricular honors or awards; scholarships and work ethic during their time at OSU. In the spring semester, the Seniors of Significance finalists update their credentials and interview for the Outstanding Seniors Award. The Outstanding Seniors are recognized during a formal banquet at the end of the spring semester.
